NAPA Proud to Support the National Patient Safety Foundation During Patient Safety Awareness Week

This year's Patient Safety Awareness Week runs from March 6 to 11 and will focus on ways to help patients reduced their risk for readmission and enhance patient and provider communications.

NAPA has a long history of commitment to patient safety as evident in its role in the formation of the Anesthesia Business Group which, on June 17, 2009, was officially listed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a federally designated Patient Safety Organization (PSO) under the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005.

The goal of this conference is to define the problem and identify electronic monitoring strategies that will provide early warnings of clinically significant respiratory depression.
