Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies Commends Decision to Extradite Hassan Diab to France

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 10, 2011) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) commends the decision by an Ontario judge to extradite accused terrorist Hassan Diab to France to stand trial for murder and attempted murder in the bombing of a Paris synagogue in 1980.

"We believe the court made the correct decision- one that will hopefully lead to a measure of justice for the four people killed and 40 injured in the synagogue bombing in France more than 30 years ago," explained Avi Benlolo, human rights activist and President and CEO of FSWC. "This was a horrific anti-Semitic act designed to inflict the maximum amount of pain, destruction and death on the Jewish community of Paris and it is time to see those responsible brought to justice," he added.
