Arizona Lottery Announces World Series of Poker(R) Second Chance Drawing Winners

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - Jun 13, 2011) - The Arizona Lottery announced the World Series of Poker® (WSOP®) Scratchers(SM) second chance drawing winners today, awarding two grand prize packages and eight World Series of Poker® branded merchandise prize packs.

Eric Perez of Goodyear and Keith Komar of Phoenix were drawn as the grand prize winners, receiving the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas and a seat at the 2011 World Series of Poker® Main Event.

Perez, 25, entered approximately 60 WSOP® Scratchers(SM) into the second chance drawing. He is a recreational poker player, and is planning to bring his wife with him to the tournament in Las Vegas.

"I can't wait to get to Vegas and start playing," said Perez. "I didn't think I was actually going to win, but I bought tickets slowly and kept cashing in the winning ones to buy more."

"This is so exciting! I just hope I don't hurt my back jumping up and down," said Komar, a stay-at-home dad. "As soon as we get off the phone, I'm going to call my wife who's at work right now."

The grand prize package includes roundtrip airfare to Las Vegas for each winner and a guest, along with four nights and five days of hotel accommodations, ground transportation, tournament entry fee valued at $10,000, and $500 in spending money.

"It is especially exciting to award the World Series of Poker® prizes, since it is such a unique and popular Scratchers(SM) ticket," said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "We're thrilled to know that Arizona will be represented in such a renowned national poker event."

A World Series of Poker® Prize Package, containing one WSOP® branded 300 Chip Poker Set, a WSOP® shuffling shoe, and a WSOP® folding poker table topper, was awarded to the following eight Arizona players: David Martinez, William York, Joseph Schiller, Dale Hiller, Tim Merker, John Brakey, Joshua Oehler and Ismael Perez.

To be eligible for the WSOP® second chance drawing, Arizona Lottery players entered their non-winning WSOP® Scratchers tickets online by June 1, 2011 at 11:59 PM (MST). All winners were chosen at random on June 2, 2011. To see a full list of winners, visit www.ArizonaLottery.com.
