Dow Jones Indexes to Distribute Index-Constituent Data Through Morningstar Direct(SM)

Additional Data Enables Morningstar Direct to Expand Its Suite of Key Dow Jones Indexes Information


NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dow Jones Indexes today announced that Morningstar, Inc., a leading provider of independent investment research, is now including constituent data on a range of Dow Jones Indexes' gauges through Morningstar DirectSM, its global web-based institutional investment analysis platform.

Morningstar Direct already provides Dow Jones Indexes' end-of-day index values; with the addition of constituent data, Morningstar Direct is now able to offer clients an expanded suite of key Dow Jones Indexes information.

Among the 34 index packages now available through Morningstar Direct from Dow Jones Indexes are some of the firm's most familiar index families, including: Dow Jones Averages, Dow Jones-UBS Commodity Indexes, Dow Jones Select Dividend Indexes, Dow Jones Titans Indexes, Dow Jones Global Indexes, Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, Dow Jones Target Date Indexes and Dow Jones Total Stock Market Indexes.

Users can browse the list of available indexes and related historical information by clicking the "Content Catalog" tab, located under the Morningstar Direct "Home" tab, and then selecting the index-constituent package they wish to see. After obtaining a constituent license from Dow Jones Indexes, users can view the index constituents throughout the application.

Morningstar Direct combines global investment data and content with sophisticated analytics. It currently provides more than 5,300 users at nearly 1,700 institutions globally with data and tools to interpret financial information for investment ideas and communicate it in clear, visual reports.
