Invincea Selected as a SINET 16 Innovator and to Present at 2011 SINET Showcase

Industry and Federal Government Leaders Collaborate to Defeat Cybersecurity Threats

FAIRFAX, VA--(Marketwire - Oct 17, 2011) - Invincea, Inc., the innovator in malware threat protection via virtualization, today announced that it has been selected as a SINET 16 Innovator. Invincea will discuss how it uses virtualization to create a protective "bubble" around browsers and pdf documents -- two of the largest attack vectors -- to protect users against spearphishing threats and other online threats during the 2011 SINET Showcase on October 26th at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. Supported by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate, The Security Innovation Network (SINET) initiatives are designed to advance innovation and enable collaboration between the public and private sectors to defeat global cybersecurity threats.

More than 100 emerging technology companies applied and were carefully vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee for the opportunity to present innovative and "potentially disruptive" cybersecurity solutions to an audience of representatives from defense, homeland security, intelligence and civilian federal agencies as well commercial, investment and research communities. Invincea will be one of sixteen companies presenting on stage.

"We're thrilled to have been selected for such a prestigious honor," said Anup Ghosh, CEO and founder at Invincea. "Like the other companies represented, Invincea is representative of a new wave of security innovation that is completely breaking from a status quo that has rendered traditional defense models obsolete. Organizations are tired of learning they have been compromised after-the-fact, and of the empty promises around protective advancements that are really just incremental improvements. Invincea's approach of making business infrastructure more resilient to attack is drawing tremendous interest from all business sectors, and we look forward to continuing the 'rock the boat' discussion with SINET attendees and our fellow presenters."

"The quality of the companies we saw in this year's SINET 16 Innovator process was exceptional, which made selections very challenging for the steering committee. We are confident that by raising awareness of Invincea and other finalists, they will have a direct and significant impact on meeting the most pressing technology needs of Federal Government and private industry -- and ultimately, the protection of our nation's critical infrastructures and command and control systems," said Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Managing Principal of SINET.
