CHARLESTON, S.C., Oct. 18, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Revolutions Medical Corporation ("Revolutions Medical" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its international patent in China for its proprietary RevVac safety syringe has been granted. The Company was also granted a similar international patent in Mexico for the RevVac safety syringe several weeks ago. The Company's RevVac safety syringe international patents that are still pending include those in Japan, Canada, Australia, Taiwan and Europe. The Company expects that each of these respective patent applications will be approved and patents will be granted. The Company has placed a priority on protecting its proprietary technology for its RevVac auto retractable vacuum safety syringe and has been issued two U.S. patents in recent years.

Revolutions Medical has four U.S. patents pending and a European patent pending for its proprietary MRI software tools: RevColor, RevDisplay, Rev3D, and RevScan. In May 2011, the Company filed a U.S. provisional patent which includes modifications and advancements of its current RevVac safety syringe to be used for pre-filled applications.
Revolutions Medical has a U.S. patent issued on its proprietary vacuum safety blood drawing device and has begun preliminary talks with a prestigious engineering firm to finish prototypes. The Company hopes to manufacture this new safety product in the next year to complement its RevVac safety syringe product line.
