AudioCodes Session Border Controllers Certified by Interactive Intelligence

AudioCodes Session Border Controllers Are to be Resold With the Interactive Intelligence All-in-One IP Communications Software Suite

LOD, Israel and INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 26, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Interactive Intelligence 2011 Global Partner Conference – AudioCodes (Nasdaq:AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced that its Mediant 800 Enterprise Session Border Controller (E-SBC) has been certified for use with the Interactive Intelligence all-in-one IP communications software suite, Customer Interaction Center (CIC).

Interactive Intelligence will offer the Mediant 800 E-SBCs with CIC, thus enabling joint customers to interface with SIP trunking service providers to perform SIP interoperability mediation, perimeter defense, and service assurance functions.

The line of AudioCodes Mediant E-SBCs are based on the Mediant Media Gateway hardware and software platforms, which enable CIC users to gradually replace their TDM trunking with SIP trunking using a single device. A number of existing AudioCodes Mediant Media Gateways also offer an upgrade path with E-SBC software licenses to enable businesses to take advantage of SIP trunking without purchasing a separate device. Moreover, the same device can be used to ensure branch survivability and local termination of emergency calls. More information about the Mediant 800 E-SBC can be found at: http://www.audiocodes.com/products/mediant-800-e-sbc

"The AudioCodes Mediant 800 E-SBC plays an important role in providing access to secure SIP trunking, remote agent features, and the ability to integrate CIC with mobile devices," said Jeff Gerardot, Interactive Intelligence VP of Development. "The E-SBCs will play an increasingly important role in providing connectivity to highly distributed businesses in particular."

This certification reinforces AudioCodes contribution to a close technology relationship with Interactive Intelligence for network connectivity that spans more than 10 years and has included PCI boards, media gateways, and now, E-SBCs.

"We're pleased to achieve Interactive Intelligence certification for our E-SBCs," said Alan D. Percy, Director of Market Development for AudioCodes. "This important certification demonstrates our vision to provide an easy migration path from legacy TDM environments to pure SIP services using a common platform."

Details about the Mediant E-SBC certification, which was performed by the Interactive Intelligence interoperability and validation test lab, can be found at: http://testlab.inin.com/FeatureListPage.aspx?ProductType=34&ProductIDs=533

AudioCodes is presenting and exhibiting at the Interactive Intelligence 2011 Global Partner Conference, held Oct. 25 to 27 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
