J. P. King Auction Offers Wyoming Ranch to Highest Bidder

Auction Company to Sell 2,562 Acres and Large Log Home With No Minimums and No Reserves

BUFFALO, WY--(Marketwire - Dec 29, 2011) - At a real estate auction scheduled for January 19, Joseph Vaillancourt has decided to sell his 11,000 square foot log home, which sits on 2,562 acres in the slope of the Big Horn Mountains. The property will sell with no minimums and no reserves through J. P. King Auction Company. One of the few homes at the base of the Big Horn Mountains, the property provides spectacular views of the scenery as well as an abundance of trophy-caliber elk, mule deer, whitetail deer and pronghorn antelope.

Vaillancourt and his wife took daily walks throughout the property, and he recalls the wildlife they saw on a daily basis. "When I was showing the property to J. P. King, I mentioned that we see at least a hundred deer a day," said Vaillancourt, who chose to sell the property to downsize his holdings. "That's part of what makes this such a special place."

According to Duffy Brown, a marketing affiliate with Mirr Ranch Group, Steele Creek Ranch is a rare find in Wyoming -- the type of find buyers should take advantage of, especially at auction prices with no minimum bids.

"This is one of the larger, more sought-after properties we've seen in the area lately. Its position in the Big Horn Mountains really sets it apart," Brown said.

The property will sell in two tracts. The first parcel includes 1,060 deeded acres, 480 acres of Wyoming lease land and 200 acres BLM lease. The five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom log home, which was carefully designed to encompass the scenery, is included in this parcel. The second parcel is 822 acres and includes a smaller guest home with a large shop.

The log home is made from hand-hewn logs and a river rock exterior and includes intricate interior woodwork, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, hardwood and stone flooring, indoor swimming pool and a home theater. Photos and a video tour of the property are available on J. P. King's website.

"This is a property that provides so many options," said Craig King, president and CEO of J. P. King Auction Company. "The hunting licenses are an obvious draw, but it draws opportunities for anyone who enjoys outdoor recreation or cattle ranching as well."

The auction will take place on Thursday, January 19 at 1 p.m. at Steele Creek Ranch, located at 1040 Greub Road in Buffalo. An auction representative will be available beginning January 9 through auction day for property tours by appointment. For additional information, individuals may contact J. P.
