OCBC Endorses Jordan Brandman for Anaheim City Council

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Mar 14, 2012) - Orange County Business Council (OCBC), the leading voice of business in Orange County, has endorsed Jordan Brandman for the Anaheim City Council. Brandman is a solid advocate of the Business Council's key initiatives to enhance infrastructure investment, increase supply of workforce housing, continue the economic development of Orange County, and promote solid education programs to ensure a skilled 21st century workforce.

"OCBC enthusiastically endorses Jordan Brandman for Anaheim City Council," said Lucy Dunn, Orange County Business Council President and CEO.

"He is a true community leader who has worked to build strong relationships across party lines as well as across the neighborhoods of Anaheim. His skills will help lead Anaheim to a solid economic future."

Jordan Brandman understands the connection between a strong business environment, sustainable infrastructure and jobs creation. He brings solid public policy experience from a variety of sources, including time spent as the Director of Workforce Development and Education for OCBC, and exhibits a true passion for education. However, his work in environmental planning on projects ranging from transportation and utility studies to residential, commercial, and industrial developments ensures he has a well-rounded perspective about what it takes to grow the local economy and serve his community.

OCBC applauds the leadership Jordan Brandman has shown in supporting numerous civic organizations and serving on the board for the Anaheim Family YMCA and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim, as well as an active member of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce; Orange County Taxpayers Association; Anaheim Historical Society; America Beautiful; and the Kiwanis Club of Greater Anaheim.

Currently, Jordan runs his own independent public affairs and research firm, Jordan Brandman Consulting. He is also Chairman of the Anaheim Public Utilities Board and is an elected member of the Board of Trustees of the Anaheim Union High School District since February 2008.
