Independent auditors carried out the assessment and awarded the designation. This external validation builds on, and extends, the previously attained SAS70 Information Security designation. SSAE16 Type II, the replacement for the older SAS70 compliance program, provides a framework that more extensively embraces international accounting standards. It attests not only that security controls are defined, but that those controls are also being effectively used during the period of the examination. Successful completion of this process continues to highlight to our customers that aurionPro takes the security surrounding our development and operational systems very seriously. It also makes it easier for customers to engage with us since many questions from their internal auditing departments, Outside Service Provider programs and IT Controls are addressed by achieving the SSAE16 designation.
