BrightPoint Americas Announces Agreement With Chartis

Agreement to Bring Complete Lifecycle Services and Protection to Wireless Pre-Pay and Subscriber Markets in the United States


INDIANAPOLIS, March 22, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brightpoint, Inc. ("BrightPoint") (Nasdaq:CELL), a global leader in providing device lifecycle services to the wireless industry, today announced that its subsidiary Brightpoint North America L.P. ("BrightPoint Americas") has entered into an agreement with Service Net Warranty, LLC., a subsidiary of Chartis.  

Under the terms of the agreement, BrightPoint Americas and Chartis will together be able to offer a comprehensive suite of wireless device lifecycle services and protection programs for the subscriber and pre-pay markets. BrightPoint Americas will provide forward and reverse logistics, including the repair, refurbishment and recycling of wireless devices. Chartis companies will offer insurance/service contract solutions customized to client needs, and a loyalty program designed to optimize customer service and client retention.
