Global Power Equipment Group Inc. Awarded Contract With Mitsubishi Heavy Industries


IRVING, Texas, April 2, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Power Equipment Group Inc. (Nasdaq:GLPW) ("Global Power") today announced that its Braden operating division has been awarded a contract to provide gas turbine auxiliary equipment to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries ("MHI") for its new "J-series" gas turbine.

Under the contract, Braden will design and manufacture the world's largest diverter damper of its kind. In addition, Braden will also provide the air intake filter houses for the MHI project located in South Korea. The equipment is expected to be delivered in the second half of 2012.
