Rapidly growing Eco Engineering adds Bill Brunette and Chris Karl to executive team


Cincinnati, OH, April 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Eco Engineering, one of the largest independent energy efficient lighting services companies in the United States, today announced two additions to its Executive leadership team. Bill Brunette joins Eco Engineering as National Sales Manager and Chris Karl joins as Controller.  Eco Engineering's mission is to design and implement energy saving lighting solutions with compelling paybacks that help its customers reduce operating expenses, boost productivity and positively impact the environment through reduced energy consumption.

As National Sales Manager, Bill Brunette will help build Eco Engineering's national client base of Fortune 1000 companies.  Bill recently served as Principal and Cincinnati Office Leader for Mercer, a global HR consulting firm.  In this role, he oversaw the marketing and delivery of Mercer's services in the Greater Cincinnati marketplace.  Bill also led the firm's new business development efforts with large employers across the Great Lakes region.

Prior to joining Mercer in 2006, Bill served in a variety of sales and business development roles over a 10 year period while at  Convergys Corporation, a customer service call center outsourcing firm based in Cincinnati.  Bill also served as a National Account Manager for 4 years at NCR Corporation in its Detroit office prior to joining Convergys.  Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University.  He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan Business School.

Chris Karl joins the Eco Engineering team as Controller.  He is responsible for managing the accounting, financial reporting, risk management, and information technology functions for the firm.  His duties also include managing Eco's banking, bonding, and external accounting relationships.  Lastly, he is an active participant in the development and implementation of the firm's strategic plans to support sustained growth and profitability.   

Chris has over 20 years of diverse financial experience spread across General Electric, General Chemical, CertainTeed, and several high-growth, privately-held businesses.  He has held a variety of financial positions during his career which include Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, Manager of Financial Analysis, Plant Controller, and Accounting Consultant.  His career encompasses a wide range of industries including legal claims administration services, medical equipment distribution, commercial construction, building materials, chemicals, and commercial / military aircraft engines.

Prior to joining Eco, Chris worked with three high-growth businesses in the Cincinnati area.  He served as an Accounting Consultant for the Garretson Resolution Group from 2010 to 2012.  In 2006, Mr. Karl became the Corporate Controller for Ardus Medical.  He joined O.K.I. Window Systems as the Chief Financial Officer in 2001.  Chris holds a BS in Finance from Miami University and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University.  He is a graduate of the General Electric Financial Management Program.
