Silver Competencies are achieved by only the top 5% of Microsoft Partners. To earn a Microsoft Silver Competency and Small Business Specialist designation, partners must complete several initiatives including a set of tests to prove their level of expertise with Microsoft products and services, submit customer references detailing relevant projects and work that has been completed, and employ or contract a required number of Microsoft Certified Professionals who are skilled in current technology relevant for the competency or designation.
