Cereplast Appoints Technical Services Engineer for On-Site Customer Service in India


EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 21, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cereplast, Inc. (Nasdaq:CERP), a leading manufacturer of proprietary biobased, sustainable bioplastics, today announced the appointment of T. Ram Singh as Technical Services Engineer to support Cereplast's customer base in India with regular on-site services. Mr. Singh will manage production and trial runs, and will provide guidance on process conditions, equipment setup and troubleshooting issues.

Mr. Singh has over eighteen years of experience in Injection and Blow Molding, Extrusion Processes and Product Design and Development in the plastics industry. He has worked with Savola Packaging Systems, Sanjay Polymers, KN Petrochemicals and S.H. Polymers, among others.

Mr. Singh has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, a post-graduate degree in Plastics Processing Technology from the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) and a post-graduate degree in Marketing and Sales Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans College of Communications and Management. CIPET is an ISO 9001:2008 QMS, NABL, ISO/IEC 17020 accredited premier national institution devoted to Academic, Technology Support and Research (ATR) activities for the growth of plastics and allied industries in India.
