AESP's Latest Benefit Enables Members to Access 50 States' Regulatory Info

PHOENIX, Aug. 27, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) today launched a significant new resource to its roster of member benefits. The new web-based AESP Commission Database, powered by iStateLink4℠ software, provides key regulatory information from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This member-only database monitors statewide rulemakings related to energy efficiency, Smart Grid and renewable portfolio standards and was designed with maximum flexibility and easy navigation.

The AESP Commission Database contains a comprehensive database of current regulatory notices from state public utility commissions (PUC) and public service commissions (PSC). Filings, rulings and orders cover the areas of energy that AESP members focus on: Energy Efficiency and Incentives for Utilities; Building Code and Demand-side Management; Smart Grid/Demand Response; Alternative/Renewable Portfolio Standards; and Plans and Reports.

"In the past, if you wanted to know about various state commission activities, you'd have to spend hours and hours digging for this information," said Meg Matt, president and CEO of AESP. "With the AESP Commission Database, this information is now quickly accessible through a custom-built portal, which allows a user to search in a variety of ways. We are delighted to be able to bring such a practical and powerful benefit to our members who are responsible for tracking rulemakings," she added.

Each regulatory notice includes a title, summary of its content, citation, status, upcoming action, hyperlink to the full text docket and the PUC/PSC contact information. Users can also generate customized reports and charts based on their search criteria; enter hearings into their calendar, and download them into a spreadsheet. Rulemakings are updated weekly until they are finalized.
