ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 26, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) has signed Joe Theismann, National Football League (NFL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) and former star quarterback for the Washington Redskins, to be a keynote speaker for the Opening General Session at its Annual Meeting, which will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor (Oxon Hill), Maryland.
A 12-year NFL veteran, Joe Theismann holds Redskins' records for passing yardage, completions, and attempts. A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Theismann led Washington to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII.
In 1983, he won the league's Most Valuable Player Award for leading the Redskins to a second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.
