Ned McWilliams, Partner in National Law Firm of Levin Papantonio, Appointed by Federal Judge to Plaintiffs' Executive Committee for Pradaxa Litigation

This multidistrict litigation is currently underway in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.  Mr. McWilliams was appointed to the PEC by the Honorable David R. Herndon in an order dated September 27, 2012.

Pradaxa is a blood-thinning medication manufactured by Boehringer-Ingelheim. All the lawsuits currently pending in the Pradaxa Products Liability Litigation involve allegations that Boehringer-Ingelheim failed to adequately warn prescribers and users of Pradaxa as to the risk of serious and sometimes fatal bleeding that is caused by the drug.  The Pradaxa MDL was created by the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on August 18, 2012.  Mr. McWilliams will be present and participate in the first Case Management Conference that is scheduled on October 3, 2012.
