Steiner Leisure Limited Announces Third Quarter 2012 Financial Results


NASSAU, The Bahamas, Oct. 24, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Steiner Leisure Limited (Nasdaq:STNR) today announced financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2012.

Steiner Leisure's revenues for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012 increased 14.0% to $204.4 million from $179.4 million during the comparable quarter in 2011. Net income for the third quarter of 2012 was $12.6 million compared with $11.8 million for the same quarter in 2011.

Earnings per share for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012 was $0.85 per share compared with $0.77 per share for the comparable quarter of 2011. The earnings per share data are presented on a diluted basis.

Revenues for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 increased 16.4% to $600.4 million from $515.7 million during the comparable nine months in 2011. Net income for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $41.3 million compared with $38.6 million for the same nine months in 2011.

Earnings per share for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $2.72 per share compared with $2.54 per share for the comparable nine months in 2011. The above earnings per share data are presented on a diluted basis.
