New York, Nov. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MicroEdge, LLC, the leading provider of solutions to the giving community worldwide, has announced plans to certify its products on the newly released version of Microsoft's Windows operating system.
Microsoft released Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10 to the market on Friday, October 26, 2012. MicroEdge has been working to ensure its products will be certified on the new operating system and browser in a timely manner. The company has been testing with beta versions of Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10, and will soon be moving forward to roll out certification for many of its products, including GIFTS, GIFTS Alta, GIFTS Online, IGAM, ReviewerCONNECT, GIFTS Plus Pack, FIMS, DonorCentral, MyGIFTS and AngelPoints.
MicroEdge will announce these certifications as they are available, beginning in the first quarter of 2013. Many of the major systems manufacturers continue to offer Windows 7 on new PC purchases, so MicroEdge clients purchasing new systems can remain on currently certified operating systems; however, if new systems are purchased with the new operating system, MicroEdge will support all clients that adopt Windows 8 prior to the product certification.
