Keiretsu Forum Welcomes Philadelphia chapter President

Charles M. Carter brings more than 40 years of broad-based management experience to the group's Philadelphia chapter

Philadelphia, PA, Nov. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Keiretsu Forum (K4), the world's largest private equity angel investment network, is proud to announce the appointment of Charles "Chuck" M. Carter to president of Keiretsu Forum's Philadelphia chapter. A skilled, senior business executive with experience as a CEO, Mr. Carter possesses the strong leadership, management and strategic planning capabilities needed to head the group of accredited angel investors in Philadelphia.

"We are honored to bring in someone of Chuck's caliber," said Howard Lubert, area president, Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic. "His wealth of experience and expertise across multiple business sectors will help us maximize our investment opportunities and further extend our relationships with sponsors, partners and key resources."

Carter's extensive experience encompasses the full business spectrum -- from large, diverse companies to startup, early stage and developing businesses -- including both privately and publicly held corporations. With strong entrepreneurial skills and a robust background in strategic execution and sales and marketing, he is particularly adept at building entire entities -- both businesses and organizations -- from the ground up.

His broad-based industry experience has equipped him with the ability to tackle multiple sectors, including: consumer/military electronics, consumer/industrial products, power tools, automotive, HVAC, architecture/engineering design, construction, power production, renewable energy, waste management, refining and real estate development/management.

"Having such an extensive knowledge of different industries is just one of the reasons we elected Chuck," continued Lubert. "He has the ability to adapt his style and philosophy to any sector he touches, and that is essential for Kerietsu Mid-Atlantic to continue building its reputation as the most successful angel investment organization in the region."

A resident of the Philadelphia area for more than 25 years, Mr. Carter earned his law degree after completing his undergraduate studies in electrical engineering. He has also served on a wide variety of company, industry, association and civic boards throughout his diverse career.

Founded in March 2011 by Howard Lubert and Vince Leusner, Keiretsu Forum Mid Atlantic includes 3 chapters, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Washington, DC.  It's members have invested $3.5 million into Angel investments since inception.  Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic (www.KeiretsuForum-MidAtlantic.com) is part of the largest North American angel investment network.
