Kings of New York: Peppercomm Named to Crain's "Best Places to Work in New York City"

Midsize Agency One of Just 50 Finalists Competing for Top Position

NEW YORK, Nov. 15, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Peppercomm announced today that Crain's New York Business named the integrated communications firm as a finalist for its 2012 "Best Places to Work in New York City" competition. Peppercomm is just one of 50 companies that Crain's distinguished for developing a fun and healthy work culture that's not only ideal for attracting new talent but nurtures existing employee relationships as well.

Since 2008, Crain's has been identifying the best places to work in the city based on employee recommendations compiled by the magazine's editors. These selections represent the most outstanding employers from all across the five boroughs as defined by their employees. This year, the 50 finalists represent a diverse range of industries including publishing, engineering, technology, healthcare and real estate.

"This distinction is especially rewarding since it essentially comes from our employees," said Steve Cody, co-founder and managing partner, Peppercomm. "We've really cultivated a certain culture here that allows us to have fun with one another, but that also motivates us to continually exceed our client's expectations. I think that really comes through in our stand-up comedy training, annual Dream Day events, and the overall transparency across the agency."

In the coming weeks, Crain's will choose its winners based on the results of an employee-driven survey conducted by the magazine in partnership with independent research firm Best Company Group. The final rankings of the best places to work in New York City will be unveiled at a Nov. 30 luncheon and published in the magazine's Dec. 3 issue.

This recognition comes just weeks after the launch of Peppercomm's strategic rebrand. In October, the firm rolled out a significant re-branding initiative that included a new website, logo, tagline and the implementation of an additional 'M' in the firm's name. The re-brand and additional letter reflect the agency's dramatic expansion and transformation into a fully integrated marketing and communications firm over the past few years through the additions of social media and digital offerings, creative services and strategic brand licensing.

In addition to the Crain's honor, Peppercomm was recently named a finalist for PR Week's 2012 "Midsize Agency of the Year" and were recognized in last year's "Top Small Company Workplaces" by Inc. Magazine.
