LONG BEACH, N.Y., Jan. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Planet Payment, Inc. (Nasdaq:PLPM) (LSE:PPT) (LSE:PPTR), hereby provides notification that application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for admission to trading on AIM in respect of a block admission of 10,700,000 Common Shares of $0.01 each in the PPT (unrestricted) line ("New Common Shares"), representing approximately 19.9% of the current issued share capital of the Company.
The New Common Shares will be issued from time to time pursuant to the exercise of employee share options under the 2006 Equity Incentive Plan, the 2012 Equity Incentive Plan and the 2012 Employee Stock Purchase Plan. On exercise the New Common Shares will be issued credited as fully paid and will rank pari passu with the existing Common Shares in issue.
It is expected that such admission will become effective on 29 January 2013 at which time all of the Company's existing block schemes will cease to be effective. Set out at the end of this announcement is the final block admission return for the existing block listing.
