CAA North & East Ontario's Automotive Services Gets a Boost

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 1, 2013) - There are few things more frustrating than walking out to your car first thing on a cold morning only to find that it has a flat tire, dead battery, or broken starter. With this in mind, CAA North & East Ontario (CAANEO) is pleased to announce that it has introduced new technology to make calls for road service from home addresses more efficient.

CAANEO has teamed up with SmartAction to launch an automated phone system, which will receive calls and dispatch an emergency road service vehicle when a Member requires assistance at their home address. SmartAction, a subsidiary of Adaptive A.I. Inc., is a leader in providing automated call services, making use of innovative "artificial intelligence" technology to perform a wide variety of tasks.

Effective February 1, 2013 this service is available 24 hours a day for home addresses throughout North and East Ontario.

Upon contacting CAANEO for road service, Members will be invited to use the automated system if they are at their home address. Members will then be asked to confirm they are at their home address, followed by questions regarding contact information and details about the type of service required. Should a communication dilemma arise, or if the call situation is identified as being complex, the Member will automatically be transferred to one of our trained Operators who can properly address the situation.

As the Club works to appropriately tailor and enhance this technology to meet the needs of our Members, CAANEO welcomes and appreciates feedback from Members who make use of the automated system.
