Anil Advani Rejoins WNC in New Role, Overseeing Private Label Fund Business


IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 19, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WNC, a national investor in real estate and community development initiatives, announced today that 17-year tax credit veteran Anil Advani has rejoined the firm as Senior Vice President - Private Label Funds.

Advani previously oversaw WNC's underwriting department which is now led by Greg Hand, Senior Vice President of Underwriting, a 15-year veteran with WNC. Advani rejoins WNC in a new role the company created to grow its private label fund business with large institutional investors.

Advani will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with private label investors, as well as managing the closing process of WNC's Private Label Funds. Christine Cormier, Senior Vice President – Investor Relations, will continue to oversee WNC's growing Multi Investor Fund business.

Advani brings a unique set of skills honed over 17 years in the affordable housing industry. Prior to joining WNC, he served as Managing Director with Red Capital Group, working in the company's tax syndication group. He was responsible for originating and underwriting tax credit investments for placement into corporate tax credit funds. Advani also served as Manager of Tax Credit Investment Advisory Services of Ernst & Young, performing due diligence on tax credit funds. He began his career in 1996 with the Reznick Group.

Advani holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, Austin, and a juris doctorate from American University.
