Celebrate International Women's Day by Helping Us Find Canada's Most Powerful Women

TORONTO--(Marketwire - Mar 7, 2013) - On International Women's Day, March 8^th, the Women's Executive Network (WXN) opens Nominations for its annual Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards. What began 11 years ago as a means to celebrate and highlight the achievements of women in leadership roles has today become the country's premier Awards for recognizing remarkable women.

"International Women's Day reminds us that we need to applaud the achievements of women in Canada," said WXN Founder, Pamela Jeffery. "Women are a powerful part of the workforce and the economy. Yet despite some progress, we are still underrepresented at the top of organizations. We must continue to strive to break the glass ceiling." 

Nominations open on March 8 for the 2013 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards, honouring female leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Top 100 Nominations are open to the public. This is a great opportunity for Canadian organizations and individuals to shine a national spotlight on remarkable women.
