OTTAWA, March 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a leading provider of cloud and premises-based unified communications software solutions, today announced that Joe Vitalone will be joining the company as executive vice president of Sales for the Americas. In this role, Mr. Vitalone will have executive responsibility for growing Mitel sales revenues in North America, the Caribbean and Latin America, and building strategic relationships within the regions' channel communities.
A seasoned veteran with more than 25 years of sales and business development experience in telecom and technology industries, Mr. Vitalone joins Mitel from Shoretel where he most recently held the position of vice president of Channel Management. Mr. Vitalone has also held senior sales management positions at LifeSize Communications, Polycom, and CoVi Technologies, as well as PictureTel, AT&T Wireless, and a previous role at Mitel.
Mr. Vitalone will report to Mitel's president and CEO, Richard McBee.
