FTS International Wins "Health & Safety Initiative of the Year"

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, March 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FTS International (FTSI) won top honors for "Health and Safety Initiative of the Year" in the 2012 Rocky Mountains Oil & Gas Awards (www.oilandgasawards.com). The award was presented March 12, 2013, at the inaugural Rocky Mountains Oil & Gas Awards event in Denver.

The Oil & Gas Awards celebrate the achievements of oil and gas industry upstream and midstream companies, service providers and suppliers in relation to health and safety, environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility. FTSI's entry featured information about the company's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program. Senior executives from the oil and gas industry reviewed almost 300 entries from approximately 200 different companies before casting their votes for the finalists, according to awards program representatives.

FTSI Chief Executive Officer Greg Lanham said, "Over the last year, we implemented a number of important safety initiatives, including new training, increased enforcement and motivational programs. The results have been and continue to be impressive - we decreased our OSHA total recordable injury rate for our Services Division by 34 percent; however, we are not resting on those results. Our team continues to implement new safety programs and to reinforce existing efforts. We do this because we know that, at the end of the day, what is most important is that everyone goes home safely."

The complete list of winners will be posted online at www.oilandgasawards.com.
