Alston was most recently president at FuseSource Corporation (acquired by Red Hat), the leading open source integration and messaging software vendor, where he was responsible for all aspects of the FuseSource business including the P/L and strategic direction of the business

Prior to FuseSource, Alston was vice president of marketing and product management at EnterpriseDB where he helped grow an open source database business. Alston graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a BS in Computer Science and Northeastern University with an MBA.
