vCom Plants Trees in Honor of Customers for Earth Day

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 19, 2013) - vCom Solutions has renewed its commitment to American Forests Global ReLeaf program and is planting a tree this Earth Day in honor of each of its clients.

vCom helps its clients streamline and automate the management of their telecom lifecycle, helping them gain visibility and control over their spending and inventory. vCom has partnered with American Forests Global ReLeaf program since 2010 to plant a tree in honor of every new vCom customer. The program works with local partners to plant trees in every state in the US, and in 38 countries around the world. Millions of trees have been planted in areas damaged by natural causes or human activity.

vCom's efforts to date have focused on the Lower Rio Grande National Wildlife Refuge in Texas. The goals of this project are to increase the habitat of the biologically diverse area, connect forest fragments along the Rio Grande, and reforest 486 acres of agricultural land.

With its new commitment to Global ReLeaf, vCom has chosen to support the Venture Fire Interplant project, which seeks to plant 25,000 Ponderosa pine trees in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest near Burney, California. In 2008, fires destroyed this forestland, and this planting project will aid in long-term watershed recovery and soil stabilization by re-establishing the forest vegetation. To jump start this effort, vCom is planting one tree in honor of each of its clients this Earth Day, and it will continue to plant a tree for every new client it adds.
