WizKids/NECA, MFV Launch TabApp(TM) Elite


HILLSIDE, N.J. and CARY, N.C., April 22, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Game creators WizKids/NECA and MFV have launched the latest addition to the HeroClix brand. Taking players on a mobile adventure, TabApp™ Elite is now available for free download for iPad® and select Android™ devices. The app's physical DC Comics Super Hero figures are also available from Hastings and local hobby and game shops nationally.

"TabApp™ Elite takes HeroClix TabApp to the next level, expanding on physical and digital integration," said Justin Ziran, president at WizKids/NECA. "Players can activate and transport multiple physical figures in game, enjoy fast paced action and enhanced visuals while customizing their play style with each figure's Combat Dial™."

The DC Comics Superman™ Starter Pack, which contains a physical Superman™ TabApp™ Elite figure and branded ClixStation is available for US$14.99. Also available is a Booster Pack, US$9.99, containing additional figures, including a Batman™ TabAppElite figure and Wonder Woman "Ally" figure, which can be used alongside other hero figures in game and placed directly on the mobile device.

TabApp™ Elite figures are 100% compatible with the HeroClix tabletop game and come with a free code to unlock their HeroClix Online counterpart.

TabApp™ Elite is available today for download for iPad® on the AppStoreSM and from the Google Play™ store for Android.

Original HeroClix TabApp™ DC Comics figures will also be compatible with TabApp™ Elite this June.
