Equipped with the latest Intel® Z87 and H87 express chipset respectively and supporting the new Intel® Haswell processor, the R6 Series computers have the latest fourth-generation processors, integrating the new Intel® HD Graphics core for lightning fast graphics. This new chip doubles the performance of previous generation Intel graphics for faster 3D rendering, more complex shading, and fluid character motion.

The Shuttle SZ87R6 computer supports a 500w power supply and has dual LAN ports; if one server or network connection fails, another can be up and running automatically. Shuttle's SH87R6 offers 300w of power and one LAN port.

Shuttle's SH87R6 is currently shipping; the SZ87R6 is expected to ship in December.
