KWG Resources Inc.: Grand Chief Stan Louttit Passes Ad Astra

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 11, 2014) - The management of KWG Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:KWG) mourns the death yesterday of Stan Louttit, elected Grand Chief of the Mushkegowuk, the Cree of the James Bay Lowlands.

It was our privilege to have become befriended by Stan Louttit, in the course of our engagement with him and his Mushkegowuk Council Chiefs, about the development of our mineral discoveries in the Mushkegowuk traditional territories and upstream from those territories in the Ring of Fire. He was a noble soul, a determined advocate and a most accomplished and charming born-diplomat. With Grand Chief Dr. Louttit we were able to think creatively and talk productively; always with brutal honesty, but never with rancour. His capacity for forgiveness of past trespasses and his passion and impatience for achieving progress were both utterly implacable.

He will be missed and cannot be replicated, but he mentored many who will succeed him to take up the numerous challenges that he met with such grace, understanding and generosity. We were fortunate to have witnessed his leadership and to have known this Grand Chief and great man.
