MongoDB Extends Its Lead as World's Fastest-Growing Big Data Ecosystem

PALO ALTO, CALIF. and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 11, 2014) - MongoDB, the database for modern applications, today announced that its partner program has grown to more than 500 technology and services partners worldwide, extending the company's lead as the fastest-growing Big Data ecosystem.

Demand for MongoDB is strong and growing quickly in response to an explosion of unstructured data, which today makes up 80 percent of all information created and used by enterprises, and is growing at twice the rate of unstructured data. Enterprises increasingly realize the need to look beyond relational databases to a more flexible, scalable, modern database such as MongoDB to address their changing data needs. Enterprises that have invested heavily in Business Intelligence, Systems Management, Security or other software need to know these investments will be preserved as they shift to a modern database.
