Rapid Micro Biosystems Announces New Chief Financial Officer


LOWELL, Mass., May 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rapid Micro Biosystems, a leading provider of automated, non-destructive, rapid microbial detection, today announced the addition of Stephen Furlong as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Furlong will lead the finance and accounting, information technology, and facilities functions for the business.  He will report directly to the CEO, Robert Spignesi. 

Mr. Furlong brings more than 25 years of financial management expertise including accounting, M&A, financial planning, forecasting and analysis.  Mr. Furlong joins Rapid Micro Biosystems following a distinguished career at Hologic, Inc., where he most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Sales Administration.  During his tenure, Mr. Furlong helped the business grow to a $2.5 billion global enterprise.
