The Thin Film Electronics ASA group is from 1 January 2015 presenting its consolidated financial statements in USD. The change from presentation currency from NOK to USD has been made since revenue and costs are increasingly denominated in USD and as the users of the financial statements are less and less NOK centric.
The change in presentation currency has been treated as a change in accounting principles which in accordance with IAS 8 has been done retrospectively by translating comparative figures to USD as if this had always been the presentation currency. More information about the change can be found in Note 2 of the interim report for the first quarter 2015.
