RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Elster Solutions announced today that one member-owned and three public utilities have recently selected Elster to automate meter data collection.
The municipalities of Borough of Quakertown, PA; City of Lamar, MO; and Town of Frederick, CO and member-owned utility High West Energy, WY intend to use Elster Managed Services to monitor and manage their electric, water and gas services.
The utilities are replacing aging electricity meters with digital electronic meters equipped with communication modules and infrastructure. Under the Managed Services model, Elster maintains and manages the information technology infrastructure and software for the utilities. Each utility will receive regular reports with up-to-date meter data, and can also access meter data on demand.
