Carbonite Strengthens Product and Engineering Teams With Two Executive Hires

Microsoft and RSA Veterans to Accelerate Carbonite's Growth in Channel and SMB Market


BOSTON, Sept. 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Carbonite, Inc. (NASDAQ:CARB), a leading provider of cloud and hybrid business continuity solutions for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), today announced two new additions to its executive team. David Raissipour has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Engineering, and Ron Trackey has joined as Vice President of Product Management. These new members of the Carbonite team reflect the company's commitment to developing innovative, quality products for small businesses and consumers.

Raissipour joined Carbonite from EMC's RSA Security, where he served most recently as VP and General Manager for Identity, Authentication and Fraud products – a $500M portfolio of products. Before Joining RSA, he spent more than 14 years at Microsoft where he was an original/founding member of several product teams, including Outlook, Bing Mobile, MSN Mobile and the Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite. Early in his career he held a wide range of Engineering and Product Management roles at startups throughout Massachusetts. Raissipour holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Central New England College, as well as numerous technology patents in the areas of messaging, rules processing and bandwidth optimization.

Trackey most recently served as Vice President of Product Development at Onapsis Inc., a leader in SAP cybersecurity. Before that, he spent several years at RSA Security, where he led product and engineering management for RSA's Adaptive Authentication SaaS product providing anti-fraud services. Prior to RSA, Ron spent 15 years at Microsoft, in various product leadership roles for MSN and Bing Mobile and MSN services. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo.
