USHCC Names Henry Fleches 2015 "Businessman of the Year"

WASHINGTON, Sept. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) announced today that Enrique (Henry) Fleches, Co-Founder, CEO and President of United Data Technologies, Inc., will receive the USHCC's 2015 Businessman of the Year Award at the organization's National Convention on September 22 in Houston, Texas.

Each year, the USHCC recognizes a male entrepreneur whose outstanding leadership, pioneering spirit, social and economic contributions exemplify the best of America's business community.

"We are proud to recognize Henry, an iconic American business leader and an outstanding young role model for our community. As the co-founder & CEO of one of the fastest growing information technology firms in the country, Henry has continually transformed his company during rapid changes in technology. He has brought innovative solutions to UDT's many clients, growing the company exponentially since the mid-90s to what it is today," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "The success of UDT is a testament to Henry's ability, resourcefulness, and vision. We commend Henry for offering his talents in service to the Hispanic community, and are proud to recognize him as the USHCC's 2015 Businessman of the year."

UDT provides clients with customized high performance technology solutions to improve their organization, providing services including network architecture, cloud transformation, and data-center virtualization. Under Henry's leadership, UDT has evolved from a start-up begun in Miami with his high school best friend, to one of the largest providers of IT solutions in the United States. For the last six consecutive years, UDT has been ranked on the Inc. 5000 List of the fastest growing companies in the United States. Among UDT's clients are Miami-Dade County Public Schools, which is the third largest district in the nation; the State of Florida; Ryder Systems; and Autonation.

"It is a distinct honor to be recognized by the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at the 2015 National Convention in Houston," said Henry Fleches. "The USHCC champions the contributions of Hispanic entrepreneurs and as our Hispanic community continues to grow, organizations like the USHCC will be one of our most important advocates."

In addition to his role with UDT, Fleches chairs Hewlett-Packard's Public Sector Advisory Council and sits on Intel Corporation's Advisory Council. Fleches has also been named to the South Florida Business Leader Movers and Shakers list by South Florida Business Leader.
