Philipp Korach new Head of Private Banking International, effective October 1, 2015. Simon Michael Gaston appointed CEO of Falcon Private Wealth, London, as Nick McCall retires.
Zurich/London September 24, 2015 - Falcon Private Bank today announces the appointment of Philipp Korach as the new Head of Private Banking International, effective October 1, 2015. Reporting to Erich Pfister, Global Head Private Banking, Philipp Korach will oversee the business areas Western Europe, Middle East & Asia, Eastern Europe and Swiss Domestic including the front units of the bank's External Asset Managers' business.
Korach, a holder of a law degree from University of Zurich, lastly acted as Head of Greater China (Switzerland) at Credit Suisse where he had started out in a graduates' programme. The stages of his career include various managerial roles at Clariden Leu and Credit Suisse for Asian, Latin American and NRI clientele both in Switzerland and abroad.
Simon Michael Gaston will be put in charge of Falcon Private Bank's subsidiary Falcon Private Wealth in London as its new Chief Executive Officer, also as of October 1, 2015 and subject to regulatory approval. Simon Gaston, who will be reporting to Erich Pfister, is succeeding Nick McCall who retired to pursue opportunities outside the bank.
Simon Gaston is joining Falcon Private Wealth from Barclays where he was CEO of the Wealth & Investment Management division and Country Head Switzerland. After studying Economics and Sociology he joined the industry nearly 25 years ago having successfully earned a track record at the Bank of Tokyo, CS First Boston, Lehman Brothers and UBS in London, South Africa and Zurich. He has covered a broad range of key wealth management areas, notably business development, wealth advisory and investment management.
