Denmark Launches GPS SmartSoles

Safecall Denmark Joins the Growing List of GTX's International Distributors

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GTX Corp (OTCBB:GTXO), a pioneer in GPS wearable technology and global provider of personal location wandering assistive technology, announced today the signing of a distribution agreement with Safecall Denmark ApS which provides GPS tracking systems for the healthcare sector in Denmark and Norway.

The GPS SmartSoles were officially launched in the U.S. at the beginning of this year and within the past 6 months the Company has expanded its distribution network across the world with a strong and growing presence in Europe, including the recent launches in Ireland, Germany, U.K., Sweden, Netherlands and now Denmark.

Denmark has a population of about 5.6 million people of which approximately 85,000 are currently diagnosed and living with dementia according to the Danish Alzheimer's society with an annual cost reaching as high as 20 billion DKK or $300 million. Dementia is the result of damage to brain cells and today affects the memory of close to 50 million people worldwide with no cure on the horizon.

"Our customers demand from us to keep offering more sophisticated tracking devices, better design and non-stigmatizing products," commented Tommy Rasmussen, Director of Safecall Denmark ApS. "The GTX SmartSoles are exactly what we have been looking for, and we have spent the past four months evaluating the SmartSoles, both ourselves and by some of our key customers, including municipalities, government institutions and consumers. We feel very confident that the GTX SmartSoles will be the preferred device among our customers. The implementation into our platform is successfully finished, and the product will be officially launched this month."

"Safecall Denmark is a great partner to work with," commented Andrew Duncan GTX Corp director of business development. "They have been moving very quickly and diligently in order to prepare for their launch and within four months we have managed to transition from an initial pilot, to a test order, to a full commercial rollout. The European market is really picking up for us and we are delighted to be working with Tommy and his team."

"With approximately 2% of the population having been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, TBI or some other cognitive disorder which may lead to wandering due to memory loss, the SmartSoles play an invisible but vital role in the safety, security and recovery of these individuals and their caregivers," stated Patrick Bertagna GTX Corp CEO. "We look forward to working with Safecall and providing them with innovative tracking solutions like our GPS and BLE SmartSoles."

The patented GPS SmartSoles, which were recently showcased in Munich, at the Telefonica 2015 Innovation Conference Digital Innovation Day 2015, featured in AARP's 2015 technology gear guide and came in 2nd place, with Microsoft finishing 1st and Samsung taking 3rd place, in the 2015 Wearables, Health, Fitness & Wellness category at CTIA's Hot for the Holidays Awards competition, are placed in the wearer's shoes and contain a GPS tracking chip connected through a cellular network that sends a signal to the GTX Corp proprietary IoT platform monitoring website or smart phone app, showing the exact location of the individual wearing them.
