Beazley expands data breach underwriting capabilities in Midwest

CHICAGO, Oct. 29, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Beazley, a leading provider of data breach response insurance, has appointed Greg Wagner, Kevin McGowan and Myles Miller as underwriters to develop business in the Midwest for its flagship product, Beazley Breach Response (BBR), and technology errors and omissions (tech E &O).

Since the launch of BBR in 2009, Beazley has managed over 2,800 data breaches. The frequency and sophistication of breaches continues to grow along with the associated costs. To address these risks, Beazley's in-house team, BBR Services, focuses on the coordination of the expert forensic, legal, notification and credit monitoring services that clients need to satisfy all legal requirements and maintain customer confidence.

Greg Wagner, based in Beazley's Dallas office, joins Beazley from Travelers where he served as a global technology middle-market account executive. In that role, he both underwrote and educated brokers on professional liability and cyber liability.

Kevin McGowan, based in Beazley's Chicago office was most recently a network security and privacy liability and E &O underwriter for ACE. Previously, he worked at Aon as a professional liability and cyber insurance broker.

Myles Miller, also based in Beazley's Chicago office, most recently worked as a professional liability underwriter at AIG.

"We continue to see growing demand in the Midwest for our coverage, which extends well beyond insurance to include a coordinated suite of services that is vital when data is breached," said Bob Wice, US focus group leader for Beazley's technology, media and business services (TMB) team. "We are delighted to welcome these talented professionals as new members of the TMB team."
