MEDTECH Honored by Frost & Sullivan With "Excellence in Best Practices" Award


MONTPELLIER, France, Nov. 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MEDTECH (Euronext, FR0010892950 – ROSA), a company specialized in designing, developing and marketing surgical robots, has been awarded the "Excellence in Best Practices" prize at Frost & Sullivan's Company of the Year Awards ceremony. This is the second time Medtech has been commended by the strategic consulting company, Frost & Sullivan.

Medtech was recognized for its achievements in the field of minimally invasive neurosurgery. The award was based on Medtech's recent analysis of the global market for surgical robotic devices applied to neurosurgery.

ROSA's revolutionary technology is already widely recognized and has led to an increase in patient safety by assisting surgeons during their interventions, making the surgical act more reliable and improving the performance of health systems.  

Frost & Sullivan also emphasize Medtech's development strategy. In just 10 years, the company has become a key international player in the field of surgical robotics for the central nervous system. In addition, Medtech recorded a 158% increase in revenue in 2015, with 48 ROSA™ robots worldwide, including 15 in Europe, 21 in North America and 12 in other parts of the world.

Medtech was already honored by Frost & Sullivan in the "robotic neurosurgery" category at the 2013 European Company of the Year Awards.
