SOGECLAIR AEROSPACE OPENS ITS SAINT-HERBLAIN SITE
Launch of a new multi-disciplinary offering
Blagnac, France, and Montreal, Canada, February 24, 2016 - SOGECLAIR (NYSE Euronext: SOG), the provider of high added-value innovative solutions and products for the aerospace and transportation markets, announces today that its subsidiary SOGECLAIR Aerospace, has opened its new site near Nantes.
The site, located a few miles away from the Airbus Saint-Herblain and Saint-Nazaire production sites, will supplement in the Loire-Atlantique region, the company's location already established in Saint-Nazaire since 2011.
Two key activities for SOGECLAIR Aerospace customers are at the heart of this new configuration set in order to promote synergies between engineering and manufacturing: manufacturing and industrialisation support, and engineering.
The first one, already deployed on Nantes and Saint-Nazaire production sites, gathers SOGECLAIR Aerospace expertise in "MAP", while the second one is a brand new concept. This concept consists in turn-key multi-disciplinary offering, with the decentralisation of the expertise in aerostructures, systems installations, configuration management and manufacturing engineering, on aircrafts production activities.
Being part of the regional aerospace environment on a daily basis for even more responsiveness and proximity, the SOGECLAIR Aerospace engineering teams will thus bring its expertise to the customers production continuous improvement process in order to support the increase of the production rates while reducing the manufacturing costs.
