Big data in the business intelligence field includes textual information such as the daily reports and emails of sales personnel, which contain information regarding their sales activities and the status of ongoing project. To assist companies in analyzing this information, UBIC has developed the Lit i View AI Sukedachi Samurai (released on October 1, 2015), a business intelligence tool powered by UBIC’s original AI, KIBIT. The Sukedachi Samurai can identify important indicators within daily reports, as well as in other communications such as customers’ complaints or requests, which in turn allows companies to better utilize their wealth of sales-related data to improve their sales management and customer service capabilities.

The technology covered by this patent allows KIBIT to identify relevant content within the reports and emails of sales staff. Through the AI-enabled analysis of these communications, KIBIT can evaluate and report on their activity. Thus, Lit i View AI Sukedachi Samurai enables companies to optimize the management of sales representatives, and consequently boost sales while improving customer satisfaction.

"We believe that this patent is a testament to the superior innovation that underlies the highly accurate document analysis provided by UBIC," stated UBIC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Masahiro Morimoto. "In this advanced digital age, when the processing of vast volumes of data is necessary, our cutting-edge technology will open up new business frontiers, such as corporate fraud investigation and email auditing. UBIC aims to provide data analysis solutions in a broad range of new fields, including business intelligence ― to which the technology under this patent is primarily applied – health care, and digital marketing. By further honing our AI-based technologies and expanding our portfolio of intellectual properties, UBIC will continue to provide additional value-added eDiscovery services to customers worldwide."
