The Ricardo Salinas Scholarship Fund awards scholarships twice a year. Candidates need to apply to the program of their interest and if it’s a good match the program will request the funds on behalf of the candidate. “This scholarship seeks to increase Latino and Latin American participation in Aspen Institute programs, with the goal of creating awareness of the Latino community and its important contribution to American society,” said Ricardo Salinas. “There are a lot of creative ideas that Latinos can share and we should not be left out of the conversation.”
The Ricardo Salinas scholars will have the opportunity to attend policy and public programs such as the Ideas Festival, The Resnick Aspen Action Forum, Business & Society, Communications & Society, Spotlight Health, and the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, among others.

As a leading educational and policy studies organization, the Aspen Institute convenes a number of public events, policy roundtables, seminars, and other programs each year to foster leadership and encourage analysis, consensus building, and problem solving on a wide variety of issues. The Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program aims to create broad awareness of the growth and importance of the Latino community to the future success of the United States and manages the Ricardo Salinas Foundation Scholarship Fund.
