MacB Opens Wright Innovation Lab during Annual Oktoberfest Celebration

Dayton, Ohio, Oct. 11, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions, announced today that the grand opening and Open House of its new Wright Innovation Lab will take place during the company’s Oktoberfest celebration on Thursday, October 20 from 3 to 7 p.m. at its Dayton headquarters office. Customers, vendors, city officials and employees are invited to tour the newly-constructed lab, which was designed and created by MacB’s Advanced Technology Group (ATG). This is the third year that the company has hosted Oktoberfest, which will again be catered by the famous Schmidt’s Restaurant and Sausage Haus from Columbus, Ohio.

The Wright Innovation Lab was established to support the warfighter capabilities needed by MacB’s Electronic Warfare (EW) customers to execute specific mission requirements, especially for multiple U.S. Air Force programs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and other Research and Development (R&D) locations. Specialized Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) personnel will focus on the design, integration, and testing of prototype sensor systems and subsystems.

In addition to the new construction, MacB also converted existing office space for its Analysis Processing Lab (APL) and small-scale Anechoic Chamber, thus expanding overall technical capabilities at the Dayton facility. Combined, both new and converted spaces will be used to develop next generation engineering talent, meet future Department of Defense (DoD) weapon system capability requirements, and satisfy a growing demand from area customers.

“With new construction completed last month, we now offer in-house leading edge technical facilities that enhance our capacity to meet high-priority warfighter requirements,” said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB’s Advanced Technology Group. “We have already captured interest from prospective customers and partners that we hope leads to additional R&D missions, thus enabling new capabilities for the U.S. Air Force.”

“MacB has built a reputation over three decades for its state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, outstanding products and services, and professional staff,” said Sidney E. Fuchs, MacB’s President and CEO. “In 2016, we’ve increased our lab capabilities and overall technology readiness levels in Dayton and Fayetteville, NC, highlighting MacB’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the emerging market needs of our military and DoD customers.”
