Sponda Plc Press release 2 November 2016, 11:00 a.m.
Sponda’s coworking hub MOW is considered an inspiring working environment
According to a customer satisfaction survey conducted at Sponda’s coworking hub Mothership of Work, MOW is an inspiring, next-generation multispace environment addressing different working needs. 97 per cent of the respondents feel that MOW’s spaces suited their working needs well and 95 per cent consider MOW an inspiring place to work. The customer satisfaction survey was conducted among MOW’s tenants in September 2016.
“We are very pleased that MOW has been welcomed among tenants so superbly. We have managed to create a different, inspiring working environment on the turnkey principle. This offers us a good opportunity to develop MOW together with the people working there,” says MOW Captain Nina Ruotsalainen.
“MOW’s strength is its relaxed, communal atmosphere, combined with cozy premises. The people using MOW keenly invite customers and partners to visit the premises. This is the best coworking space in Helsinki,” say the MOW members Monica Jalonen and Kati Harki from Kamon.
MOW’s net promoter score is 73, which is an excellent achievement. The respondents also praised MOW for its interior decoration and design - as much as 92 per cent of them liked it. The point of departure in the interior design was to create a working environment where people can become inspired and foster a sense of community across company boundaries. 80 per cent of the respondents feel better at home in MOW than in a traditional office.
"Our company was founded about the same time as the MOW was completed. MOW has been at the same time flexible, creative and natural environment to us, as well as an integral part of our business. We have received projects from the community as well as experts to our projects," says the MOW member Ville Toriseva from CEO Helsinki.
In addition to open lounge spaces and the event space Areena, the building has 13 unique meeting rooms, telephone booths, and sheltered, quiet rooms. The building also contains a lot of art, ranging from customised illustrations to graffiti murals covering the entire wall, and there is a scent of fresh coffee and roasted popcorn in the air.
Different types of communal events are arranged at MOW, such as morning yoga, cupping sessions, pitching meetings, hackathons, sparring clubs, board game evenings and, of course, after-work hangouts on Fridays. In addition to events, the building offers a broad set of additional services, such as IT support and completely redesigned occupational healthcare services. Help is also available in financial matters, bookkeeping and legal matters for small companies.
Designed by Sponda, MOW is a communal coworking hub for creative freelancers and companies in Helsinki city centre, at Pieni Roobertinkatu 9. MOW’s versatile premises have been designed together with the target group. In spring 2016, MOW won the gold metal in Finland's Nordic Startup Awards in the Best Office Space category.
