Handtevy Partners with ESO Solutions to Provide Seamless Access to Customized Pediatric Dosing Information

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - November 17, 2016) - Pediatric Emergency Standards Inc., creator of the Handtevy pediatric dosing system, announced a partnership with ESO Solutions today, enabling rapid access to critical dosing information and the ability to seamlessly integrate data directly into the patient's medical record.

Of the many challenges pre-hospital providers face during the treatment of sick and injured children, the ability to calculate and document complex medication and equipment information rapidly are two of the most difficult. With this demand in mind, Handtevy and ESO joined forces by integrating their respective systems for mutual customers.

This partnership eliminates the need to toggle between two interfaces, allowing field providers to prioritize their care. Mutual customers will have access to crucial dosing information, customized to their agency's protocols, directly through the ESO electronic health record (EHR) user interface. This will enable field providers to access life-saving dosages on scene confidently and then rapidly transfer time-sensitive data directly into the ESO EHR. Documentation lag-time will be eliminated and time-sensitive information will be housed in one system.

Traditionally, field providers are not only charged with addressing life-threatening situations, but they also have the responsibility of capturing information in a variety of places to make sure the patient record is complete. This integration will allow providers to focus on the patient, with the knowledge that the dosing information will import directly to their EHR from Handtevy's cloud-based platform. This streamlined data process is the first-of-its-kind in pediatric emergency care, providing real-time verification with simultaneous documentation capabilities.
