Chicago, Illinois, April 18, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, a pioneer in legal distance education, will offer a variety of courses online this summer featuring hot topics and bar-tested subjects. The American Bar Association allows students to take up to 15 credit hours of online law courses toward their JD.
“John Marshall continues its commitment to be a leader in the field of online legal education, for our own students here in Chicago and for visiting students who can take courses that they might not otherwise have an opportunity to take at their home school,” said Chris Bevard, John Marshall’s Assistant Director of Educational Technology. “We’re continually looking for ways to incorporate new tools and types of interactivity into our new and existing online courses, so students can be assured that they’re getting an experience that they won’t get anywhere else.”
Each year, more and more law students enroll in online classes. Online courses afford students the flexibility to round out their law school schedules with academic study, while conducting “real-world” work through clinical experience or externships. John Marshall’s online courses are open to candidates in their second and third years, and visiting students may, with their home school’s approval, transfer up to six online hours toward their JD.
Select JD and LLM courses available at John Marshall this summer include:
- Climate Change Law
- Cyber Crime, Information Warfare & Economic Espionage
- Cyberspace Law
- Employee Benefits Law
- Estates & Trusts
- Homeland Security
- International & Comparative Sports Law
- IP in Start-Up Companies
